About Us

Pam Wilmot

My name is Pam Wilmot. I am a mother of three; two girls and ten years later finally my one boy.
I am a very down to earth, forward person with just the right amount of enthusiasm, humor and discipline to make our office a very friendly environment. I enjoy family type activities, road trips, and animals as my home has numerously been referred to as a zoo for variety. Being the first face you will see at D&D Bookkeeping; people skills are a must as well as a stern side as I tend to be the office ‘wife’ in a sense and keep everyone in line.
After living across Canada, I have finally come back to my roots, and since 2014 am now the permanent receptionist at D&D Bookkeeping Inc.  I have had the opportunity to venture outside my regular responsibilities as receptionist during the busier season. This has allowed me to get a better understanding of your bookkeeping needs. I continuously gain knowledge on a daily basis in the field accounting. Along with my receptionist duties (banking, telephone calls, invoicing, etc.), I tend to prioritize the office with being the communications director, also filter and guide clients through our system.

Carolyn McPherson

My name is Carolyn McPherson and I am a wife, mother of two and grandmother of ten.
I joined the team as the receptionist for D&D Bookkeeping in January 2015 as a maternity leave replacement for my daughter-in-law. Within months, we realized that we made a good team and I accepted a permanent position within the firm.
Being a small, family based business; an employee is given the opportunity to learn and participate in all aspects of the business. I now have the pleasure of being a bookkeeper as well as office/accounts manager.
Have always had a love of numbers, and following that love,  have completed accounting, marketing and organizational behaviour courses at Dalhousie University; Accounting/Payroll Certification at the Alberta Vocational College; Accounting Courses at Algonquin College as well as other accounting and tax preparation courses though my employers.
On a personal level, my husband and I have a lust for travel and have travelled across our great country as well as to several other countries. When not working or travelling; I enjoy reading, knitting and of course spending time with my family

Douglas Ross

My name is Douglas Ross. I am the senior consultant at D&D Bookkeeping Inc. and the original founder of the company, started in 2004. In 2012 I turned the company over to the current owner, my niece, Natasha McDonald.
Since my early thirties I have successfully owned and/or managed several small businesses, and for over twenty-five years have specialized in accounting for these businesses and private clients.
I am proficient in many programs including Sage 50 (formerly Simply Accounting), Quicken and Quickbooks which we primarily use. I have a wealth of experience in Excel, as spreadsheets are a must in the accounting world.
Clients often describe me as upfront and honest, as I will provide you with the knowledge to make the smartest decision for your future. I am compassionate and understanding which will help make your accounting experience less stressful, and your appointment more of a relaxing friendly encounter.
When I am not buried under books, my family is my main focus. My great niece is my biggest enjoyment in life and I have made it a promise that I will be her ‘Uncle Doogie’ whenever she needs me.
