ONLINE_Scheepers_Bernadette_DD23_7329.jpg

Bernadette Scheepers

Junior Bookkeeper

Bernadette was born and raised in South Africa where she predominantly worked in the accounting practice sector, focusing on bookkeeping, company registrations, deceased estates and income taxes. There, she also studied towards a Certificate in Business Management and Administration. As with most South Africans, she does love a good rugby game, as well as a BBQ, (braai).

After meeting her husband and getting married, Bernadette joined him by moving to the United Kingdom, where they had settled in a village on the outskirts of London for several years. They love to travel and explore, abroad and locally.  Bernadette has also furthered her studies in the United Kingdom and received a Diploma in Advanced Accounting.  During her time in the UK, she worked in the Accounts Department of an International Cargo and Freight Company. She found the cargo and freight industry both fast paced and very interesting.  “It is fascinating how without logistics the world can easily stop.” She does believe in the saying “Every day is a school day” and find it satisfying when an account reconciles, as it should!

Bernadette and her husband decided in 2022 that their next chapter in life will be further north and moved to Nova Scotia in the spring of 2023.

Bernadette has a heart for compassion outreach and is a keen blood donor. She strives to be kind, considerate and respectful to everyone she cross paths with and believes that many times people do not want a mind that speaks but a heart that listens. She is a qualified scuba diver, and as much as she loves outdoor activities, she is quite happy staying indoors.   She is a proud bird mama and has now added an English Springer Spaniel to their gang as well.
